According to a report on Honolulu, looking at how much the the cost of real estate increased for over the last year, Hawaii has the highest average home prices in the nation
Based on the average prices for a four-bedroom and two bathroom house, Hawaii ranked to be on the top spot with the price of $905,000 according to the 2016 The Coldwell banker Home Listing Report. The second spot goes to Massachusetts but still, Hawaii is more than $325,000 higher in home prices compared all others.
A real estate company’s analysis last year found that this four-bedroom house located in Hawaii has the total price of about $655,000 and they took these figures to emphasize the increase reported by Hawaii News Now.
With $1.2 million average home prices this year, Honolulu went on top of the lists. They also ranked as the 14th place among other nation’s municipalities to the 17th place last year.
In Kapolei, the price of a four-bedroom house is at $708,000 and increased from $569,000 in 2015. This year’s price of Ewa beach is $653,000 up from $597,000 last year.
The country’s most expensive market for a four-bedroom home that costs $2.5 million was the Saratoga, California while the most affordable market for four bedroom house is Detroit with the price of $64,000.
